Black history is Austrian history. But what do we all know about the presence of Africans on Austrian territory for almost two thousand years? Did you learn about it at school? The achievements of Black people are not mentioned in school lessons and have little presence in the collective memory. Black History Month wants to change that. Especially in the USA, Canada and Great Britain, Black History is commemorated and the Black community is celebrated in February. This has also been happening here in Germany for several years.
