16th World Art Christmas Bazaar
For the Christmas bazaar, the Fortuna Gallery traveled to the islands of Indonesia, where they purchased angels made from driftwood in Bali. Colorful dolls made from scraps of fabric come from Sunari Wayan's small tailoring workshop, smiling Buddha sculptures made from wood and terracotta from the Tirtha Workshop. The bazaar also offers unusual lampshades made of palm fiber and artistic bead boxes, hammered aluminum garlands with Christmas motifs, graceful IKAT fabrics from Timor, original animal puppets from Java, unique artifacts from Borneo, Sumba and Lombok. There are countless handicraft treasures from small workshops and studios.
