What is the Wiener Konzerthaus? For whom is music performed here and how differently can culture and music be experienced? Syrian student Afrah Najm is a member of the association Souriat - Syrian Women for Justice and Peace - and has had the opportunity to get to know the Wiener Konzerthaus and its program over the past six months.
We cordially invite you to learn more about the Wiener Konzerthaus during a free backstage tour in Arabic and from Afrah's very personal perspective.
Afrah will tell you about the history and architecture of the building and give you an insight behind the scenes.
You will also have the opportunity to experience music: After the tour, you can look forward to a 50-minute concert with Syrian musician Salah Ammo. Together with Afrah Najm, he will present music from his home region in north-eastern Syria, which is influenced by the neighboring Kurds, Arabs, Armenians and Assyrians. Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to talk to Afrah Najm and Salah Ammo and ask them questions.
