The VIENNA IMPROVISERS ORCHESTRA (VIO) creates collaborative spaces for action - including for the concert unfolding poetic vision(s) on common ground, where the work is created at the moment of performance.

The musicians and the conductor as ‘instant composition conductor’ work closely together and are in constant musical dialogue. In shared responsibility and at every moment, they negotiate the common route they are travelling: Each initiative results in a change of perspective that opens up new options for action in the poetic space. Equal attention and a multidirectional willingness to engage in dialogue are central elements of this process-oriented collaboration.
