The annual event format of the WIDE network ‘feminist quergelesen’ is this time a cooperation with the Frauen*solidarität and the Initiative fairsorgen.

Feminist quergelesen means: reading a book, coming to the event and talking about the book together.

On a Sunday in June, the world goes out of sync: women lie on the street.Motionless, in silent protest,’ reads the blurb of the novel “UND ALLE SO STILL” by Mareike Fallwickl. The novel tells three stories: that of Elin, an influencer; that of Nuri, a nineteen-year-old without a school-leaving certificate who keeps his head above water by taking on a wide variety of jobs; and that of Ruth, a hospital nurse. Through various coincidences, their stories intertwine with each other and with the silent protest.

We invite you to read the novel in the next few weeks and to discuss it with us (the association JOAN ROBINSON, WIDE, Frauen*solidarität and fairsorgen) and colleagues from the various fields of work that also play an important role in the novel) on 1 April 2025.
