SUNU YOON acts with temperament and virtuosity and is convinced that music globalizes itself. "Anyone and everyone is allowed to make any music," finds pianist Julia Siedl. "Everything is mixed in some way. Music is constant exchange. Ideally, everyone benefits from it, not just the musicians*."
The musicians of SUNU YOON (Wolof for "Our Way") ignite melodic and rhythmic fireworks. The musicians are united by their openness and enthusiasm for lush grooves. Their love for jazz and African music is audible. In their compositions, the internationally experienced musicians combine both musical cultures in a stylish and original way.
