CityLab (Citylabor) is a new participatory format of the Vienna State Opera's "Education & Outreach" department. In this intergenerational project and ensemble, theater enthusiasts are invited to develop their own piece with Vienna State Opera artists and perform it in front of an audience. On May 22, the musical theater performance "Sugar Revolution" will be staged, inspired by the opera Animal Farm, which is based on the 1944 novel of the same name by George Orwell. The intergenerational ensemble, aged between 11 and 77, will be accompanied by the Vienna State Opera stage orchestra.
