Sanda Üllen Ed: VIDC, 2021
On the occasion of our 25th anniversary, cultural and social anthropologist Sandra Üllen examined the contribution of art and cultural work in the context of development cooperation in this study. The focus is on addressing the question of how this has changed or developed over the past decades and what status art & culture can have in society.
In addition to the socio-political question, focal points are presented that are defined within development cooperation. By discussing our work as an important organisation in this context, we want to show how our positioning on art and culture in development cooperation is shaped and what has changed in the last decades.
In doing so, we take another step in our examination of 25 years of art, culture and discourse. Enjoy reading!
