"Yalda Night", the longest and darkest night of the year, is a Persian festival celebrating the winter solstice. Also known as the "Night of Birth", it celebrates the sun overcoming the darkness and the days becoming longer again. Tradition dictates that people sit together all night with their loved ones, eat and drink, listen to music and read poetry to each other. Music and literature are not only anchors of tradition, but connecting vectors between generations.

We celebrate Shab-e Yalda in the Persian tradition with music, poetry and food. Just come along to celebrate Yalda Night together at the Kulturhaus Brotfabrik!
