On this evening, the Kurdish singer Sakîna Teyna and her band will present songs and arrangements from her album "Longing / Bendewari".
Sakîna's new songs, but also the traditional songs, reflect the diversity of the Kurdish tradition rhythmically and melodically.
The focus is on the stories of the people from the region: suffering and resistance, melancholy and courage to live, but also all those longings that have too often remained unspoken.
Sakîna Teyna recalls this and invites the audience to experience the richness of encounters between different cultures, languages and melodies.
Martin Först from the Tonkünstler Orchestra of Lower Austria will accompany part of this musical journey as a guest musician.
In the context of the partnership of Wiener Musikverein with Brunnenpassage.
