The collaborative project "Dis-Othering - Beyond Afropolitan & other Labels" ended after two years. Together with our partner organizations The Centre for Fine Arts (Bozar) and Savvy Contemporary we've been raising awarness on the necessary deconstruction of ‘othering’ practices in European cultural institutions.
The project consisted of an exhibition, symposia, a festival, talks and performances, a residency program, a mapping research all manifesting in 2018 and 2019 in Berlin, Brussels, Vienna and Warsaw and a publication about the project and the complexities of Dis-Othering as a process.
The publication contains keynotes, activity reports, results and conclusiones of the mapping research.
