Mariama Diallo
Born in 1989, Guinea
Artist, photographer, performer, studies Contextual Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
In her photography project "Reines et Heroines de L'Afrique et de la Diaspora" Diallo is dedicated to the re-enactment and remembrance of the queens and heroines of Africa and its diaspora. Another focus of her artistic practice is the analysis of racist body politics and counters them with empowering counter-designs, such as her photo series "Nappy Hair".
Mariama Diallo participated at Fem*Friday Ver*sagen Ver*lernen at Macondo in Vienna.
