Aly Keïta from Côte d'Ivoire is one of the great virtuosos of the balafon. He comes from a griot family and has been playing with improvising musicians from other cultures for more than 30 years. Jan Galega Brönnimann and Lucas Niggli, both born in Cameroon, have been influenced by West African culture since the beginning of their musical careers. They belong to an experimental and cosmopolitan scene and have played with many renowned musicians and many different projects in recent years.
