Eine Träne. Ein Lächeln. Meine Kindheit in Damaskus by Luna Al-Mousli

a literary-musical performance

"Eine Träne. Ein Lächeln" is based on Luna Al-Mousli's book of the same name and takes you back to her childhood in the Syrian capital, Damascus. Colours, sounds and stories come together to create a vivid picture of the city. The sounds of the streets, the voices of the markets and the melodies of nature interweave with Luna's voice and revive memories in bilingual texts in Arabic and German.

Luna Al-Mousli spent her childhood in Damascus and evokes the atmosphere of the city with her stories and music – sometimes joyful, sometimes quiet, but always full of imagination and warmth.

This interactive performance invites you to listen, marvel, dream and participate – everyone can become part of the stories and experience how music and memories create a sense of home that connects us.

Duration: 45 minutes | For children aged 4 to 10 and their families
