"The film-theater project was initiated and implemented by the Roma cultural association Romano Svato, all actors, including the three protagonists (Ayo Aloba, Sandra Selimoivć and Ivana Nikolić) are Roma and Romnija. Here a community speaks out. More of it" was the verdict of the Wiener Zeitung on the online film premiere of "Bibi Sara Kali".
We are implementing this widely expressed wish with the readaptation of the feature film for the theater performance on Bibi's Day, January 31. Bibi Sara Kali is the powerful patroness of the Roma, protector, companion, Rom*nja Wonderwoman. Her cult is celebrated by Roma worldwide in regional variations. In the Balkans, the Bibijako Djive, the "Day of the Aunt", is dedicated to her.
