Cinema premiere of the short film program
05.- & 06.12.2022
Topkino in Vienna, Moviemento-Kino in Linz
Young people from Austria and from the Global South collaborated online to create short films on children's rights issues.
Students from Vienna and San Cristóbal in Mexico interviewed experts on equal rights for girls and educational justice.
High school students from Neulengbach, together with young environmental activists from the Philippines, took aim at the pollution of the waters and the internationally displaced mountains of garbage.
Kenyan vocational school students exchanged views with Linz vocational school students on the rights of disabled children and visited crisis centers for young people in difficult situations.
The lives of administrative apprentices in Vienna and Kurdish youths in a refugee camp in Rojava/Northern Syria were interwoven into four joint films.
At HAK Traun, HAK Eferding and the Girls' Center in Klagenfurt, music videos and animated films were created together with young people in Senegal, Equatorial Guinea and Cameroon.
In seven intercontinental workshops, a total of 30 very different films were created under the guidance of renowned filmmakers: Feature scenes, short documentaries, music videos and animated films, which will be presented on December 5 in Vienna and on December 6 in Linz and then released. Some of the young filmmakers from Austria and from the cooperation partners will participate in the film screenings live and via zoom and comment on the results of the joint work.
